THE MARATHON PODCAST SPONSORSHIP

The Marathon Podcast Sponsorship is an initiative created to help athletes with big goals and ambitions. It’s not entirely about talent and level, but rather the will to put in the work.

The Marathon Podcast Sponsorship is all about supporting runners who dream big and chase their goals. The Marathon Podcast will never ask for anything in return — it’s simply a way of giving back to the running community that inspires us every day.

Below are the athletes sponsored by The Marathon Podcast.

ANDY BUCHANAN

Andy Buchanan, the fastest Australian marathoner of all time, is the first-ever athlete to be sponsored by The Marathon Podcast.

Andy is a 2:06 marathoner and combines his running career with his job as a high school teacher. His endurance on the road, combined with his endurance in his everyday life, made sponsoring him an easy decision. The Marathon Podcast is excited to be a part of Andy’s journey to faster times.

As The Marathon Podcast continues to explore what it means to run, endure, and grow, Andy brings that mission to life with every stride. Here’s to faster times, bigger dreams, and miles of inspiration ahead.

ELENA HAYDAY

Elena Hayday is one of the rising American marathon runners, and she has already proven that she has a bright future. Elena is putting in the work that is needed to become the best runner in the world, and The Marathon Podcast wants to support her on that journey.

Elena is not just a great athlete. She is vocal about social injustice, and that’s a quality TMP highly appreciates.

This sponsorship might not make Elena a full-time athlete today, but it’s just a matter of time before she’ll be one. Her work ethic and mindset will get her far. The Marathon Podcast can’t wait to see where Elena ends up.

The Marathon Podcast is proud to support Elena Hayday.

FELICIA PASADYN

Full-time med student, former swimmer, and now marathon runner Felicia Pasadyn really made a name for herself during this year’s TCS New York City Marathon when she ran a 2:35 marathon and qualified for the Olympic Trials.

With close to no time for anything else than school, Felicia has been able to combine this with running and cross-training. Her unique approach to running has shocked the running community, as she spends hours on the Stairmaster every week.

When someone pointed out that Felicia had a 15 year old Garmin, The Marathon Podcast just had to support her, so she can get a new watch for her next marathon block.

The Marathon Podcast is happy to support Felicia.

LUCY JONES

Lucy Jones surprised everyone with her marathon in London in 2025. With that, she proved that she had a lot of potential as a marathon runner.

She has a lot of potential, but she’s also a very smart athlete. Considering all her choices and strategies for her future as an athlete. Together with her coaches, she has a plan for the years to come

She might not run another marathon in the near future, but when she does she probably will run faster than ever.

Lucy is dedicated to her sport, and is exactly the kind of athlete The Marathon Podcast wants to support.

TRISTIN COLLEY

Tristin Colley is one of the athletes The Marathon Podcast was tipped about. And for very good reasons.

Tristin is a fast marathoner, but a more amazing human. She matches The Marathon Podcast Sponsorship 100% and she’s a perfect example of who this sponsorship is made to help.

This year in Boston she was 7th American with her 2:26, and she proved that she’s one to look out for in the marathon distance going forward.

Tristin and her husband Andrew are having a baby soon, and The Marathon Podcast is proud to support their family and Tristin’s mom strenght.

SOW ABDOULAYE

Sow Abdoulaye ran a 2:40 marathon in NYC and proved that at a young age, he is already full of potential.

Sow is running and training with the Bronx Burners.

JULIA PATERNAIN

Julia Paternain recently proved that she’s one of the best marathoners in the world — yet she remains as humble as ever.

Her patience and approach to running impress me, and I love how open she was in the conversation we had on the podcast earlier this month. Being honest about not loving every run, but still getting out every day.

The Marathon Podcast wants to provide its sponsorship to runners who inspire others to run and have fun with running. Julia is definetely one of those athletes.

I am proud to announce that The Marathon Podcast is supporting Julia Paternain.

COLE GIBBENS

Cole Gibbens surprised everyone with his 2:16 marathon in London this year and has shared most of his journey on his YouTube channel.

Through his videos, his viewers have come to know him on a personal level, and he has been open about the wins and challenges he faces as a runner. This makes Cole a very important voice in the running world.

Cole has had a passion for running since he was a kid, and he is still chasing his dreams. This is something worth supporting.

Cole has great goals and ambitions as a runner, and The Marathon Podcast wants to support his dream to become a full-time runner.

ALEX BAKER & KETCHUP TO CANCER

It’s not always about professional runners.

Alex Baker is one of the most inspiring people I’ve ever talked with. There’s more to life than running, but he proves that running can change lives. And in that way, running becomes more than running.

After losing his wife to cancer, he started running to raise money for St. Jude Children’s Hospital.

I encourage everyone to support Alex and his fundraiser — even one dollar helps children with cancer and their families.

The Marathon Podcast is proud to sponsor Alex, Ketchup to Cancer, and St. Jude Children’s Hospital with a $1,000 donation.

STEPHEN MCAULEY

Stephen is a special runner. A runner who started his running in 2022 by doing a 3:19 marathon. Today he is a 2:17 marathoner, and he has gotten there with a bit of an unconventional method.

Stephen found his own way to faster times, and he’s an inspiration to runners all over the world.

As an Irish runner it wouldn’t be a huge shock if we see him in an Irish jersey soon.

The Marathon Podcast first had Stephen on in June of 2025, and it was obvious that this is a fantastic athlete and human being. That’s why he is receiving The Marathon Podcast Sponsorship.

KRISTIAN GRUE

The Marathon Podcast is mostly about marathon running. And that’s 1/3 of an Iron Man 🏊🚴🏃🏽

Kristian Grue is the next athlete to be supported by The Marathon Podcast Sponsorship. Probably the only triathlete ever to get this sponsorship.

I’ve been admiring Kristian and his work ethics for years. He deserves all the support he can get.

When this podcast had less than 10 listeners, Kristian said yes to coming on. The Marathon Podcast is very proud to support Kristian and his goals.
